What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a site stores in your browser. Some are required for the site to work; others measure traffic or support advertising. We use as few as we can.
The categories we use
Essential
Required for the site to function and to remember your cookie choice. These are always set and cannot be switched off. They store no personal information beyond your preference and, for administrators, a signed session token.
Analytics
Google Analytics 4, used to understand aggregate traffic patterns — which pages are read, how people arrive, which devices they use. IP anonymisation is enabled. These are only set after you accept.
Advertising
Set by Google and its partners when advertising is enabled, to measure and personalise ads. These are only set after you accept. If advertising is not yet enabled on this site, no advertising cookies are set at all.
Google AdSense and the DART cookie
This site is monetised with Google AdSense.
- Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads here.
- Google's use of the DoubleClick DART cookie enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this and other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices.
- Google explains how it uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Third-party advertisers may also place cookies or web beacons when serving ads. We do not control those cookies, and their use is governed by the relevant third party's own privacy policy.
Consent Mode
Analytics and advertising storage default to denied on this site. They are only granted after you accept in the banner, and your choice is applied before any measurement happens.
Changing or withdrawing consent
Clear this site's data in your browser and the consent banner will appear again on your next visit, letting you choose differently. You can also block cookies entirely in your browser settings — the site will continue to work.
