Affiliate and advertising disclosure
How this site makes money, and the rules that keep it out of the reviews.
Last updated Aug 1, 2026
The short version
ToolstoIndia is free to read and is funded by advertising and affiliate commissions. Neither buys influence over what a review says, what score it gets, or where it ranks.
Affiliate links
Some links to vendor websites are affiliate links. If you subscribe or purchase after clicking one, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you.
Rules we follow:
- Commission rates never influence ratings, rankings or inclusion. Several highly rated tools on this site pay nothing.
- Affiliate links carry
rel="nofollow noopener sponsored", which is what search engines expect and what honest disclosure looks like in markup. - A tool's weaknesses are described whether or not we earn from it. If a review reads like an advert, we have failed.
- We do not use affiliate links inside tutorials where they would distort the advice.
Advertising
We display advertising, including Google AdSense. Advertisers do not see content before publication, cannot request changes, and have no influence over editorial decisions. Ads are labelled and kept out of the reading flow as much as the format allows.
Details of the cookies advertising sets, and how to opt out of personalised advertising, are in our cookie policy and privacy policy.
Sponsored content
We do not currently publish sponsored posts or paid reviews. If that changes, any such content will be labelled clearly at the top of the page, before the content, not in a footnote.
Product access
Vendors sometimes provide free or discounted access for review purposes. This does not affect the rating, and where it applies it is stated in the review. We buy our own subscriptions for the tools we use most.
Job listings
Job listings are aggregated for free. We do not charge employers for inclusion and we do not charge candidates anything, ever. If we introduce paid job posting in future, sponsored listings will be labelled as such.
Why we tell you this
Because you should be able to judge for yourself whether our incentives are aligned with yours. If you ever read something here that seems shaped by money rather than evidence, tell us — that is a bug, and we will fix it.
