How this site is funded
Tools To India is free to use and is intended to be supported by advertising. There is no subscription, no paywall, and no registration.
Advertising is currently enabled on this site.
Advertising does not influence content
This is the part that matters, so it is stated plainly.
- No advertiser sees content before publication or has any right of review.
- No advertiser can request that a page be written, changed, softened or removed.
- We do not accept payment for coverage, for inclusion in a comparison, or for a link.
- We do not publish sponsored content presented as editorial.
- Which official source a page links to is never affected by any commercial relationship — those links point to government portals, which do not advertise.
- A calculator’s result is never influenced by anything commercial. It is the output of a tested function.
Where advertisements can appear
Advertising placements are constrained by design rather than by intention, so the constraints hold even under commercial pressure.
| Placement | Allowed |
|---|---|
| Above a calculator, or between the inputs and the result | Never |
| Inside a results panel | Never |
| Between the introduction and the first content section | Yes |
| Between long content sections | Yes |
| Sidebar on desktop | Yes |
| End of an article | Yes |
| Interstitials, pop-ups or anything covering the page | Never |
| Auto-refreshing or auto-playing advertisements | Never |
How advertisements are presented
- Every advertising slot carries a visible "Advertisement" label. An advertisement should never be mistakable for site content, navigation or a download button.
- Advertising space reserves its height in advance, so content does not jump as ads load.
- We do not place advertisements to resemble buttons, form fields or results.
- We never ask, hint or encourage anyone to click an advertisement.
- The number of advertisements on a page is limited so that content remains the majority of it. A page that would not be worth reading without its advertisements should not exist.
Third-party advertising and your data
Where third-party advertising is served, the advertising network may set cookies or use similar technologies to serve and measure advertisements. That processing is carried out by the network under its own privacy policy, not by us.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not pass anything you type into a calculator to an advertiser — those figures never leave your browser in the first place.
Our privacy policy sets out what data is and is not collected, and how to control advertising personalisation.
What we will not accept
- Advertising for products or services we consider misleading or predatory, including unlicensed lending and guaranteed-return investment offers.
- Advertising that imitates a government service, or implies any government affiliation.
- Advertising that imitates the appearance of our own content or navigation.
- Any arrangement conditional on how a topic, product or institution is described in our content.
